Warning Signs

Signs Your Gutters Need Cleaning

Clogged gutters can cause thousands of dollars in water damage. Watch for these warning signs around your GTA home.

Water Overflowing

Water spilling over the sides during rain means blockages are preventing proper drainage through your gutter system.

Sagging Gutters

Gutters pulling away from the fascia board indicates heavy debris buildup adding excess weight to the brackets.

Plants Growing

Weeds or seedlings sprouting from your gutters means enough soil and organic matter has accumulated to support plant life.

Staining on Siding

Vertical streaks or discolouration on your exterior walls signals water is escaping through cracks or overflows.

Basement Moisture

Unexplained dampness or water in your basement can result from clogged gutters directing water toward your foundation.

Ice Dams in Winter

Ice buildup along roof edges during Toronto winters is often caused by blocked gutters preventing meltwater from draining.

FAQs

Gutter Cleaning FAQs

Answers to common questions

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Frequency depends on tree cover, roof shape, guards, nearby construction, prior blockages, and seasonal debris. Many properties are checked in spring and after leaf fall, but the appropriate interval should be based on the actual gutter system and site conditions.

Do you flush downspouts?

A downspout flow check is part of the standard scope. Flushing or blockage work is confirmed in the quote when access and downspout condition require it.

What happens to the debris?

Debris removed from the approved gutter-cleaning scope is collected for disposal. Roof-edge or ground cleanup outside that scope is confirmed in the quote when needed.

Do you install gutter guards?

We inspect existing guards and can discuss options for your home. Guard installation is quoted separately from cleaning services. We can advise on which guard types work best for your roof pitch and local tree coverage.

What damage can clogged gutters cause?

Blocked or overflowing gutters can contribute to water reaching fascia, siding, landscaping, walkways, or the foundation area. The actual risk depends on the roof, drainage path, grading, weather, and existing building condition.

Can you clean gutters in winter?

Winter work is limited to conditions where roofline access, surfaces, temperature, wind, and precipitation allow a safe plan. Ice removal is not assumed to be part of a standard gutter-cleaning scope.

Do you provide a condition report?

Readily visible concerns found during the approved cleaning scope can be noted or photographed. This is a service observation, not a roofing, drainage, or building inspection.

Can I bundle gutter and window cleaning?

Absolutely. Many of our GTA customers schedule both services on the same visit and save. Spring and fall are the most popular times for bundled cleaning. Get a combined quote through our instant quote tool.
